ROSTOVJANKA

A print sale extravaganza that begins on solstice and runs all summer in three distinct drops.

Information

  • Rostovjanka is a kind of dance, a dance of life, live life like a dance. Explosion of colour and music and joy, loud and proud, made of passion and dedication, Faustian bargains and something outrageous. Dance life to a balkan beat to live the good life and make the good art.

A fantasy of a life thats more than clicking computers, made by clicking computers.

Rostovjanka is also the umbrella name for the 3 drop print sale extravaganza this summer of 2026.

The first drop is named FANTASTIKA.

  • Fantastika is the gift of fantasy. Imagined worlds far from rent, tax, and all the rest.

Gardens of the mind where we go to rest: the eternal summer of Silmarillion, Nirn, or a galaxy far far away. In them we are incorporeal, beyond the harm of touch. Floating observers of pure consciousness looking in through the window of the mind.

Float above and follow heroes through peril and adventure. See something dangerous and cool. Meet gods, monsters, and simple human warmth. Cover cosmic distances, glimpse past and future, witness different ways of life.

Even our own history is just verified fantasy.

  • This is the first ever Rostov print sale. Each limited edition print is numbered, titled to this series, and signed in pencil below the image.

The series is limited to this summer, this event, the first ever, and will never be printed under this name again. Certain works may return in future collections under new series, in different formats, with continued numbering.

Your print will read something like:

    "Universal Signal" (2011) - #7 - FANTASTIKA - 2026 - RSTV

  • Numbers 1-5 are reserved for Patron Editions. Larger prints in handmade frames under museum-grade glass, limited to five ever. Each comes with a certificate, a thank-you note, and a few hand-drawn sketches. For the patron of the art, patron of my art.

Nr 6 I keep for myself, the artist copy. If one is ever spotted in the wild suspect thievery or close friendship.

Standard Series begins at 7 and goes up every purchase, until the end of the sale, and will never be printed again under current series title.

  • High quality giclee print on acid free paper, resistant to aging and fading. Numbered, titled to the series, and signed. Limited to the duration of the sale and never to be sold under this series again.

  • Limited to 5 prints ever in the history of the universe. Each step closer to #1 doubles the price.

You get a large, hand framed fine art object under museum-grade glass, a certificate of authenticity, and 3 original hand drawn sketches.

Buying Patron signals wealth, taste, and patronship. It supports the studio, covering rent and materials, making future work possible, and blesses your household. The smaller the number, the cooler.

  • Exclusive print numbered 0, only one ever made. With a gold plated back. Printed on canvas, painted over with oils, developed and worked into a singular object of art by the artist. Visit the studio, meet the artist.

  • Giclée print is an archival quality fine art reproduction. Printed on acid free paper, using high quality inks that resist fading and yellowing. Enjoy bright colours for a lifetime and more.

  • The images are resistant to fading, but sensitive to scuffs and can damage easily if mishandled.

Please frame the images immediately, or store safely until framing. An accidental scrape with a fingernail can compress paper fibre such that it will reflect light differently, and become visible from certain angles.

A good frame with museum quality glass will protect the artwork from accidents and UV light.

  • Smaller prints are sized to fit standard IKEA frames, larger ones may not.

It is suggested to have a professional frame the art, or scavenge an old frame from some thrift market. Don't leave prints laying around unframed as the surface can damage easily.

    Patron Editions come framed.

Standard Editions ship unframed due to prohibitive shipping costs, so you'll need to frame them yourself.

  • Prints will be shipped a few weeks after the end of the drop, via delivery service in an envelope or postal tube, depending on size. The print will be packaged with silk paper to protect  the surface from scratches in transit. When receiving the prints, please handle with care as the surface of the print can be scuffed easily. Frame the print as soon as possible.
