The face is the safe space. A hundred thousand faces, in margins of school textbooks, the tens and tens of sketchbooks, canvases, and however many jaypegs. I have made many of them.
When nothing else comes up, make a face. When the mood is sour, make a face. When everything is the bees knees, make a face.
The infinite subject matter, the most interesting thing in the world. The face the face the face. Wear jackboots and goosemarch down the main street, you're a facist, nothing you can do about it. Did I already say how much I like drawing the face? Artist of drawing faces.
