Is this not anime? The pointy chin, the wide forehead, the digimon tubecollar. This is definitely that far east exotic strain of art known as animé.

Ah but it has a nose. Anime has no nose I'm told. Some bastard offspring then, mudblood art style with lumpy skull shapes.

And oh boy is the skull visible. Look at those gaunt cheeks. Every portrait is secretly a painting of a skull, in drag. Wearing skin like a dress the cover up the indecency of bone. The eye socket is the window of the soul, and the soul is private thank-you-very-much.

In every artist there are two wolves, that anime and realism, which one do you feed? A long time ago in a dark room in commieblock panel house, during a ‘dark night of the soul’ the 17 year old Rosto decided to strangle one of those wolves for good. I gave it a good shot, but sometimes you can hear suspicious (mutilated) whimpering from the basement. Botched it.
